Not unless you rat on them! Not everybody is taking their cats out foo. I just wanted to know how the car will sound. This thread reminds me of that movie PCU!

Most if not all shops will not remove the Cats for legal reasons. I had the x-pipe w/o cats and the fumes were unbearable. I was getting a headache and had a burning irritation in my throat. Sound was good stock mufflers, better than the flowmasters I had before with the cats. There is no drone with the stock mufflers + x-pipe which is a plus. I went back to all stock after 3 days. However, I did not have cats on my 93 5.0 for over two years and had no problems. Do yourself a favor and look for another mod.

There is a federal law against removing CATS. It's worth a $25,000 fine I understand, so no shop is going to risk that if they have any sense!

Better worry about your cats in the US. Cause its legal to remove them up here in Canada

Think I'd leave the cats on. Check your local laws, too. For many of us living in states with yearly inspections (Virginia) the vehicle wouldn't even pass state inspection.

I thought Canadians had more common sense or atleast more respect for the environment.

ps: I really didn't, but it sounds better if I say I do.
