I checked out the pictures section, I believe they hired a 2 year old to take those because they really do suck. As for the product, 41hp on a Sentra??? Ooooooooook

Thomas Knight has at least put the time into it, his Eaton design looks interesting.
Thomas Knight has definitely put in the time on researching electric superchargers. His design does have merit, however, the execution is somewhat unconventional. He says the key to making it work is realizing that there isn't enough electrical capacity in the average vehicle to sustain continuous compression. His idea, which he markets with his product line, is somewhat analagous to what you get with NOS - a 15 to 20 second "blast" of current-sucking boost from his electric supercharger that drains the special battery array dry and provides about 750 CFM to the engine. Unlike NOS however, you don't have to "gas the tank". A 200 amp alternator would recharge the batteries (which look a whole lot like those high power audio amp battery/caps). A few minutes later, you're ready to go again.

I've got a picture of his centrifugal unit somewhere (that he sent me), which is about 13" by 9" (including motor) and doesn't weigh THAT much (less than a hundred lbs with batteries). Because it needs no engine pulleys or belts, you can pretty much stick it anywhere in the engine bay, and the batcap or odyssey dry-cell batteries in the trunk. Also, remember that there is no parasitic engine drag when you hit the boost switch for your 15 seconds of nirvana.

Well, there you go, already invented. I guess I'll have to revert back to working on building a stepford wife.

Crap! there goes my heater motor idea. Thanks, this just sucks, broken heart, I'll be OK. Not to worry. Oh, and My77 stang. I Never do burnouts with nitrous, I Never do burnouts with the Traction system on. Not good cause it shuts the fuel pump off. Not now, not ever! Ya don't need nitrous to smoke the tires with a line lock. I also never use the nitrous with the Trac system on, as it may shut off the pump while the nitrous is spraying, That would be very, very bad. Make for big BOOM!

The theory behind the idea is correct, and I'm sure you see SOME form of increase airflow at partial throttle. The problem with an item poorly designed like that is that under wide open throttle, the natural push of air into the engine is the same or stronger as the push provided by tha piece of junk, and it becomes a hinderance to airflow rather than a boost.

The OTHER reason why that item won't work is that the amperage needed to power an electric motor strong enough to effectively boost is greater than the alternator can provide...aka voltage drop across the entire car's electrical assembly that could damage components.
