Ok, I'm getting a little tired of all this "you could get this, or that!" The fact is you are getting an official Shelby GT! It will be registered with the Shelby Registry once you get it and it will be rare, even more rare than the GT500's!
If you want to take your GT Premium and think you can add all these upgrades listed in this photo for the price that Shelby does then please, open a shop and let us bring our cars to you!
When you say you could do these mods are you adding in the labor costs? Or just dreaming while you read the ads in the Mustang Mags? Or do you do work for free?

After all, a loaded GT Premium, with the new Navigation will be about $29,000. Add the Shelby package (if you can get all the parts) for $7390 (no gas guzzler tax for you) and you get $36,390. And will your car be worth as much as the one somebody paid $41,000 for in 1, 3, or 10 years?
Oh and remember there are plenty of $41,000 cars being driven around town! Every Excalade, Lexus, Infinity, etc...
