Hood Shake at high speeds? (Don't have time to search)

RE: Hood Shaker? (Don't have time to search)
I adujsted my stops and it seems to have really helped...but I do think that at certain speeds and in certain head and crosswinds the aluminum hood is going lift and shake...it's in the design (long hood with high pressure air built up underneath of it and nowhere for the air to go/escape)...

Honestly, if you adjust the stops the way there supposed to be done, it will eliminate the shakes and you dont need to drill holes to install hood pins to do a bandaid fix for something so simple, free, and easy to fix the first time. If you can feel any play when gently raising the hood while closed your stops are not contacting properly.
Open the hood, and count the rings around the stops from the top to the bottom and make sure there equall on all four. Turn the stops 1/2 turn at a time counterclockwise making sure there all equall and gently close the hood. WhenI set them, I normally go just a bit too far so as to not quite let the hood latch, then screw them in 1/4 turn at a time till the hood shuts tight soild and quietly.
I' ve done three other Stangs and it was the same on them too. Of course if you just like the look of hood pins, then go for it. But this WILL fix the shakes if you have them, our cars are all the same.

Is anyone finding the lanyards causing scratches on the hood? Since the shelbys come with brackets, I might get those one and dremel out my own slots. That radiator cover is rediculous expensive

I've got about 10k miles on mine since installing last summer. The Ford Racing variety have not scratched my hood. I'm careful to latch mine so that the front lip is the only place that they touch.
BTW, I prefer a wad of play dough on top of the bumpers to eval clearance. Less mess, better idea of distance...
