Its not for people that have the MYCOLOR from the factory. It only happens when people upgrade to the MYCOLOR and have to have the dealer reflash the cluster and some dont even need the reflash.

Agreed it's for people with the custom kit, not the factory kit.

I cant even believe I read this. My 07 has every option available from Ford. The only bells ringing are when you put the key in the ignition and open the door, just like every fairly new Ford has for years. A reverse chime? My dump truck has one. I 've heard it all now.

I upgraded my gauge cluster...yes I have the 75mph warning chime, aaaaaaaaand yes I do have the reverse chime. Personally I don't mind either...the reverse chime is not bothersome as I'm not in reverse all time, and as far as the over 75mph chime...bewteen the radio blasting and the roar of acceleration, ICAN BARELY HEAR IT! The benefits of the "my color" outway the chimes.

I doubt it because i didnt get it from my dealer. Like I stated, it will not be there if you have the cluster reflashed by the dealer with the "as built" data.

Thanks for the info, I did install a my color option from the posts read from this forum. I used Ford Parts Guy from Washington State. The install was a piece of cake, I find it unusual that I programed the seat belt chime to stay off from the owners manual and that did not change, but an added speed chime and reverse chime came with the new dash. I emailed the Ford Parts Guy and did not receive an answer. I find the reverse chime a pain in the A%$! Also the speed chime at 75 is an unsafe chime, the first couple of times I heard it I thought something else was wrong with the vehicle, which while your trying to figure what is going on you naturally slow down, looking for an idiot light going off on the dash. The geneous at Ford that put that POS into the program of the new dash is also an idiot. Especially when there are no manual or warning to expect this anoying buzzer and the dangerous situation it can create when someone first hears it unexpectantly.

Its standard on the mustangs overseas i have been told. So its programmed on or off depending on where the cluster is being sent.

Impossible to improve on that statement.
