Maybe when the new dash was placed the seatbelt chime was connected to the speedo somehow and causes the chimeat 75 MPHIhad my 06 GT to 120 MPH and never did it chime. I really have no idea and just a failed attempt to be funny....LOL! J

W that did have a high speed warning that you could program, I'll do some research and try to find something about it.

So did anyone ever figure out a way to eliminate the 75mph chime and/or the reverse chime for the aftermarket My Color people?

I really want to install the My Color dash cluster (my GT didn't come with it), but I think the chimes would annoy me and negate the benefits of the My Color, unless someone has come up with a fix...

The chime comes from the instrument panel so there is no "wire" to cut.

To get rid of the chime you have to take your car to the dealer and have the cars computer re flashed. I have yet to do this because I have a Brenspeed Tune that needs to be returned to stock. I will have to take down the stock tune info and make sure it does not change, because if it does the Brenspeed Tune will not work nor either will the car. I find this damn chime irritating as hell, if you find yourself in traffic that fluctuates speed between 70 to 75 mph the chime just keeps on chiming. Yes, it rings when you reach 75 mph, and if you let the car drop to 74 mph and you return to 75 mph the ***** F@#$ing thing just keeps onchiming. Again what Friggin idiots who designed this should have a boot placed upon the backside. Technology being what it is, they should at least program this POS to chime only once withing 5 mph of 75, not just continue ringing on and on. By the way the irritating ring that Ford selected was one that sounds much like a heart monitor. Who ever designed this Kiss My @$$!

My 07 with the MYcolor option does NOT have that chime.....I would hear it EVERY day if it did.

Me too. He is either hearing things, or something else is going on. I had my GT at 130 the other day and no chimes.

Sounds like an option for fleet cars. I take it your car doesn't have the interior upgrade package?
