need tire help!
i got the 17X9 takeoff bullitts thats i'm wanting to put tires on. What size should i get? i was reccomended by a guy at tire rack to get 255/50/17's but i want something low profile that will fit.
i also want a tire thats gonna have great grip in wet and dry, as well as have a stable sidewall in the corners and be able to hold well in the corners.
which should i get? my favorite tire is the BFGoodrich G-Force KDWS2 but i'v been told that won't fit on my car. If it will let me know! if not, which of these should i get:
-Bridgestone Potenza RE750
-Nitto NT555
-Nitto Invo
Thanks!

RE: need tire help!
That's a good recommendation from the tire rack guy. A source I use for checking tire sizes recommends staying within 3% of the original tire size.
I have Nitto 555's on my car, they are holding up well and havegood wet and dry traction.

You could probably fit a 275/40-17, which would give you a low profile, that you are looking for, the only problem would be that you are slightly outside of the 5% tolerance. I personally went with 275/50-17 on the rear, the stock rim width is 1/2 inch per side smaller than recommended, but for me it has worked just fine, also the height is within 1 1/2% of stock.. I left the stock 235/55-17's on the front whcih gives a nice effect. A nice median would be the BFG's 255/50-17's all the way around with height a width both being within specs.
