First off, I'm new here and this is my first post, so hello everyone.

My question is this. Last week I ordered the Steeda powdercoated valve covers for my 2006 mustang. I got them in the mail today and they look great. I started the remove/install process only to realize that the Steeda covers are slightly different. They are bothFord stamped on the inside , but they only have a 10 bolt patterncompared to my 15 bolt patternon the factory drivers side cover. Its as if they were eliminated. I have not been able to get in touch with anyone over at Steeda to figure this out yet. My first conclusion is that they are 2007 valve covers. I thought they might have went to a slightly different design for 2007. This sometimes happens during a production run.

Has anyone else had this problem or heard of this. If you own a 2007 could you count how many valve cover bolts you have on the drivers side and let me know?

You got the wrong covers, 07 has the same number of bolts as the 06, (i have owned both)

Ican't say thatcompletely agree with you. After doing someresearch on web I have found that the 2007 cam covers are changed from the 2005-2006. Your 2006 may use the new design where mine uses the old. From what I can see in your sig picture your drivers side valve cover is just like the one they sent me. I can tell because there are two ribs showing in the casting where on my originals there is only one. You should have 10 bolts and the original design should have 15 for the drivers side.The 2007 bolt pattern were reduced for a manufacturing cost saving.
