the funny part was i could have just used the remote start function to turn the car off, but as i saw it rolling my first instinct was to run after it, since the alarm was still on i had to fumble with the remote while i was running to unlock the car, when i got it i just slammed on the brake then looked around to see if anyone had seen me, i didnt see anyone but i bet if some one saw me the got a kick from it

In my opinion there is one and ONLY one system for remote start on 5spd cars. CLIFFORD!!!

The Clifford product requires you to go through an exit procedure. Leaving the car in neutral and running exit the car, then when you arm the car, it kills the engine and waits for aremote startcommand. If the alarm is triggered or disarmed, it will not attempt to start. If the vehicle is in valet or disarmed it will not attempt to start, unlikeremote startunits designed for automatic transmission cars.

Not the cheapest, just the best.

I used to install remote starts on Manual cars all the time.
I recommend Compu-Star.
Compu-star rarely ever fails and if it does there is a life-time warranty.
I have the two-way pager remote alarm starter with 5000ft of range . highly recommened!!

+1 .

I have a Compustar on my manual trans 2007 GT and it works very well. You put car in neutral, set e-brake and remove key. You then open drivers door and when it shuts the car turns off. It thenreadys itself for remote starting. I too have the two-way paging and the range is incredible. Way better than the Viper I had on my truck. Great system, did not take more than 5 hours to install, and price was about $550 with extra modual for manual trans system.
