Wow Derfthat's wild. Do you guy's have autos? I don't get any sound like that. I'll look for it next time I'm in the car, but I honestly don't spend much time at 1500, especially since I installed a Hurst short shifter!
Nope, manual tranny. When I'm on residential streets I keep it at 25mph or below in 2nd so that hovers round 1500 rpm (I believe, I really don't pay attention). It won't normally cause any noise unless i goose it. Then I may get a rattle. Not always.

SCORE!!! I finally got it to do it when I wasn't moving. I made a short run to get a newspaper and as I pulled back into the driveway, it started. I kept it in gear and pulled the E-brake since it only does it in gear (yea, I know, but I had the door open and enough room to catch it if it started to roll before I hit something) I narrowed it down to the exhaust clamps. I guess I'm just a pansy and didn't get it tight enough even with a foot long ratchet. I'm going to break out the air ratchet, which I should have done in the first place, and get them nice and tight when I finally get around to lining the tips up right. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I appreciate it! Yesss.....my mufflers are not POS's now I'm much happier.

Don't let it drive you crazy. I had the exact thing happen to me. You need to go under the driver side muffler, look at the rear muffler hanger closest to the rear bumper support, it only has about 2-3 mill of clearand, it vibrates and hits the steel bumper support. take the muffler off and cut 1/2 inch from hanger and you are DONE!!

oh, I guess I forgot to update this thread, thanks for the info, I did find that the next day after my last post. I put a 1/2" rubber vacuum cap on it to buy me a week or so until I could get it apart and cut 3/4" off of the hanger. That's exactly what it was, when the engine torques left, and thermal expansion of the metal makes it just barely rub the rear impact bumper making that noise.
