I had paul's performance 87 octanetune for my 3.73 and stock intake, andnow have a Cand L brent 93 octane tune. .Both areawesome.I never tried a custom dyno tune but i figure why fix it if it aint broke? With the help of tuners like brenspeed all the guess work is gone about tuning. Just plug and play. Wish he was around to tune my 70 dodge superbee.

I 've tried Evolution, B A M A Chips, Buffalo Chips and Brenspeed. Brenspeed is the winner with no competition.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I have tried both Evo and Brenspeed (before the supercharger) and both were very good. Customer service at Brenspeed is incredible!!!!

I did the same thing you did for along time. Debating over which intake and tune to get. I finally decided to order from Evolution Performance. They had the cheapest price for the C&L intake and SCT 2 tune. I got my order in 3 days with standard ground shipping. I just installed the C&L intake, and am about to go load my tune. Then I will go for a test drive.

Make sure your tank is full of the same gas (or higher) that your tune is rated. [/Captain Obvious]

The tune as you can tell is somewhat a personal thing, like sports teams or Muscle car brands, you know Chevy is better ford is better, dodge Bla BLa...

you will never get a straight answer, but I will attempt to do so.
First off, Brenspeed,Evolution and VMP are Site sponsors so if you support Mustang Forums support the sponsors.
that being said, here is my take. Fred at Evolution has some very nice tunes for Automatic Cars, he had one for over a year and developed his tunes on that car, at the track and dyno. He recently helped me with a tune for VA inspections so that I can pass with my mods. Fred does not respond to email very often, but you call him and he's right there.
I have all three of his tunes, 87 93 and 100 Octane.

VMP has some nice tunes, I have not used them but I drove a friends car that did, and it was nice, but I like my EVO Tune for general Mods..

Now, for The Kicker...THE BEST TUNE OUT THERE IS A CUSTOM DYNO TUNE. Buy one of the above tunes to get rolling and find agood tuner in your area and go Custom. the Reason is that no twocars are the same so what works great for one may suck for another. also location can effect a tune, higher altitides, Humid areas, dry areas allcan have adverse affectson caned tunes.
