ORIGINAL: SonicBlue05GT

i'm finally ditching my flow a/b because of the same thing you don't like about it with no cats. the machine gun sound gets old...

I just ordered some GTAs, hopefully those will be better.
Let us know how it works out.

We just got back from a short cruise and I think its just the normal nature of the combination. He has auto so has less control over avoiding those certain RPM's when it makes the sound.

When he left my house it sure sounded sweet tho! [sm=happybounce.gif]
Thanks for the ride in your car stoenr, sounds great. I think your right about me not being able to control the rpm's with the automatic. I'm going to see if I can get used to it. If not, the search for the perfect exhaust setup will continue.

And SonicBlue05GT, make sure and let us know how the GTA's sound. I might have to go that route too if it's good.

I added an o/r x to my existing setup (flo a/b and factory manifolds) last night...at certain rpms there is a tinny sound, sometimes trumpety, but sometimes it's absolute heaven, depending on the rpm (my GF asked me if it was supposed to sound like that, she thought maybe something was broken lol...)

Get some stingers to go with that offroad H and you won't be disapointed to say the least. Sell the flows and put the cash toward some stingers
I can't say I'm a fan... makes it sound like a crop duster. Too much like an LS1, IMO.

The flows are my 3rd exhaust setup that I had for this car with the o/r h pipe. The flows are by far the best sounding out of all 3. They do have some trumpeting, but not as bad as the Corsa's or the Stingers. The Stingers with the o/r h-pipe sounds like absolute poop. It sounds like a cross between a riding lawn mower, a Harley and one of them there hillbilly diesel trucks at W.O.T. SonicBlue, make sure you let us know how the GTA's sound with the o/r h. That may be my 4th exhaust, or I may go with the new Pypes system.

I could handle the trumpeting if it didn't sound like a machine gun in an aluminum garbage can. I might be getting a set of SLP Powerflos real cheap, I wonder what that will sound like.
