New Product: VMP 05+ GT Intake and SCT X-Cal2 Tuner Package $485
Ijust finished developing our 05+ Mustang GT intake. The goal was to improve performance while keeping costs reasonable. Our stage one half intake keeps the factory black rubber tube (Steeda and several others on the market do the same). Realistic average gains from our premium fuel tune and half intake are 18-20RWHP over stock tune w/ regular fuel. There are companies claiming 30-40RWHP from intake and tune, but I've never seen them produce a dynograph.
Hereare the results from one 2007 GT Manual that I tuned with the intake:
The VMP intake uses an 88MM black annodized aluminum MAF housing. I feel this is the perfect size for the 4.6L 3V engine. The 88MMMAF is large enough to flow very well, but not so large that it hurts driveability.
The VMP GT Intake and SCT X-Cal2 Tuner package retails for $485 with 3 custom tunes, it can be ordered on our website here:

The intake alone can be purchased here for $105, tune required:

You can upgrade toa full intake later on, this can be done by purchasing the C&L racer intake tube and heat shield here for $170:

There is no heat shield included with the stage one intake, and the stock rubber tube is re-used. This was done to reduce cost for the consumer. I won't bill this as the end-all or best intake on the market, simply another option. In testing I did find that replacing the rubber tube with a C&L racer tube resulted in a gain of 3-5HP.
For those wanting a full intake and tuner package we offer the C&L racer with a custom X-Cal2, on sale for $599 this month:
