Yes, with the large blind spots the S197 has a large mirror really was needed. Many of us don't care for the black color on them and have found that the Midwest covers, full covers or just painting them body color helps them blend in more and stop looking like Mickey Mouse ears! Especially on a light colored car!
The only thing I'd like is those passenger side mirrors that can pivot down when you're trying to parallel park!

I love the stock mirrors as well just giving options to the poster that doesn't like the mirrors. I have 5% tint all the way around and those big mirrors save the ability to see behind me when backing out of the drive!

Ya i guess you guys are right, I have drove plenty of cars with tiny mirrors, which provide crappy vision. I might doing some painting, or even try those agent 47 mirrors.

Any pics of the stock ones painted black ?

I installed the Agent 47 mirrors for Christmas and had them painted for about $100. It makes the car look far more like a classic Mustang, they're not too small IMO. See Pix.

As most of you know by now...
I have my home made style mirrors. Love them.
Definitly smaller but still safe (they were in 1971). Even my wife loves them.

The right side one is completly useless to me since I will not make a move without turning my head, on any vehicle. Period. I use it for backing up.
The driver side is more trustable but I still turn my head and make sure it's clear.

I really hate the OEM ones. Not only they're big, but the shape is all wrong. Something like the S95 would have been fine or the ones from the concept car.
