What do you mean washing IT ????
That's when you use a hose to run water over the car just before and after rubbing it with a soapy mitt to remove the dirt. [&:]

Ive always thought the fuel pump and maybe other stuff will get started when the key is turned before the car is staarted up? Thats why some cars you can hear a buzz when you turn the first clicks, before the car is actually started?
I think you are right, waiting a couple seconds for the fuel pump to stabilize the fuel pressure is not a big deal and it is what I do, anyway starting the engine right away wont hurt either everythng that matters is controlled by the computer.
I am old school so I let the engine warm up for a couple minutes before driving the car. I noticed that after installing the SC, I must let it warm up, it will choke if I just hit the gas right away, and because of the LT headers it will also throw a code if I hit the gas before the O2 sensors are fully warmed up.

That is true, warming up with a S/C is a must. I haven't thrown a code with the high flow cat's though since I installed them. Happened a couple of times right after the install, but now it is fine.
