rim paint
I'd bring them to a body shop and have them paint it.
You can also buy duplicolors wheel paint at any auto parts store. You will also have to sand it down REALLY good, then clean it really good, sand it some more, then clean it again and make sure all dirt and dust is off. then paint it, and probably put a clear coat, or protective paint over it.
I'm not 100% sure though, maybe someone else can add on to that.

Duplicolor-Go by their directions ! But I have also used engine paint too !
Just clean the wheels in dawn to remove grease,wax..etc. Then wipe them with alcohol(very important)After that
rough up the surface with 1500grit sand paper for tooth for the paint.Wash, rinse, and wipe with alcohol again, then use
a tack cloth to pick up small particles of dust and gritthen paint!

BMW Dealership parts dept's sell wheel paint in spray cans.It is some fancy stuff from germany and is highly durable.I beleive they only have silver and clear.Just buy the clearcoat. Then You can get a good flat black in a spray canlike "krylon industrial toughcoat" at home depot or whatever. The flat black will make for easier sanding before you clear it. Practice on scrap metal first to get the hang of it.
If You cant find the BMW clear,Griot's Garage sells wheel clear that is good too.
Also get good quality masking tape from a body shop supply store- it will give You a nice sharp paint edge.

I have the premium wheels on my GT and I painted them black. Buy brake cleaner, wash them off with a hose and then use the brake cleaner. I used 400grit sand paper and sanded them down good, making sure there is no shiny part of the rim left. Then I put 3 coats of primer on, 3 coats of black and 3 coats of clear coat. I thought my rims came out excellent. All in all I spent $50 on materials.

have it professionally done but for that price you can
pic up a set of factory OEM black bullitts for the same
price on eBay as getting them done professionally.
Or the rattle can paint on ?perfectly good but just the
wrong color? rims is just too much work for minimal
return. IMHO
Check the bay for rims first.
Explore all options besides the 'paint it yourself on
the weekend in the garage' approach.

As far as cleaning, make sure you clean every bit of the rim (backside too) Clean the face twice with a detergent like Dawn. Unless you ran into some grease somewhere that's all you need to remove the dirt, brake dust, etc. Most brake cleaners will eat clear coat, no need to use that. The shop will clean before priming as well. When you wet sand, have a riny bit of Dawn in the water. But my first recommendation is "don't paint them".
