Default Who is the warranty expert around here?

Is carpeting covered under the warranty? Even though i've never been in my car without a floormat, the carpeting underneath the floormat, approximately where my heel rests as i'm driving and/or pushing the accelerator, has worn and a hole is now there. I knew I had a heavy foot but damn lol. So anyway, is that covered under warranty?

Also, I also have one of the bumpers that have been talked about on here before, where the trunk lid touches slightly and causes a slight rub on the top of the bumper where they join. Would the paint discoloration from the rubbing also be covered under the warranty?

Thanks in advance for the help...

It all depends on the dealer. Both items are in the gray area.
I work as a service advisor for toyota, and we have covered such items for good/loyal customers.

Interior is 12/12,000 from what I was told, but didn't see that in the warranty book. I also would like new carpet. I drove about 40 minutes on a road course with no floor mats and wore a big **** hole in the carpet, plus the mat holder is pulling out.

Id be interested in the outcome for ya. I will take my car in one of these days for its 1st visit in 2 years for a slew of tsb's and some minor things.

[blockquote]Yeah same here, stupid reliable car I've had the damn thing for right at two years also and haven't had the first problem which warranted taking it to the dealer so far. Those stupid plastic rivets holding the plastic interior pieces in the trunk have tested my patience though. I'm alsways having to push them back in where they pop out. [:@]

Hmmm, I haven't been back to the dealer since I bought my car. Something tells me they won't consider me to be very loyal lol.

Bumper to bumper 36/36000, we had a freestyle that the carpet on the passenger side showed significant wear ar about 20000 miles took it down to Ford, they replaced it under warranty with no hassles at all....

The carpet can be done under warranty. We usually do them due to the mat hook coming out. As for the paint we had a car come in for the same sort of problem and our FSE had it get resprayed so hopefully you got a good dealer. Just don't go in demanding things. Those kind of customers we send packing to another dealer.

Thanks Prom, i'll take it in this week then. I'm not the @sshole demanding type, so hopefully I should be ok. Also, since you do this stuff, what kind of service do you recommend for my upcoming 25k. Up to this point i've only done oil and filter changes at a non-ford dealer....
