Right, it's too expensive to make a million changes to a model for only one year. I wouldn't expect anything more than a bumper...maybe side skirts or something a little different....but something they can just slap on.
2010 model will be more likely to have a new motor, but Honestly I wouldn't expect that either. My guess is it's still a 4.6 with some minor upgrades to keep cost low. If you start upping the HP to compete with the Camaro, etc, then the cost is going to go way up.
Perhaps some more affordable special editions will be available....like a 5.4 or 5.0 GT, but not supercharged like the GT500. 350 HP tuned 4.6 is my guess though.

i cant see it to alteast 2010, there to much money to be made w the s197. they still havnt brough out a mach1/boss or pretty much some kind of NA 5.0/5.4L
they might even make a new cobra b4 the next gen of stangs. there just so much money to be made i cant c ford being so quick to change.

That Autoweek article also mentioned a Mercury coupe based on the Mustang for '10....is it possible, could we see another Cougar...a real Cougar, not a Euro FWD? I know this is a Mustang forum, and I own a Mustang, but the Cougar has always held a special place for me...

Great find on the mule. Funny if you wann laugh read what the people that commented said. Apperantly Ford has a hard time selling the big V8 and needs to put a more stout V6 in the Mustang....lol
