lol add boost to is and you get a very nice ride. i dont think that the n/a 6er could keep up to 80 though, it seems to lose its grunt at about 60 (as I remember) and that is with stock gears. with high gear ratios, it could hurt the higher end performance

the 6er seems like it needs less power to perform though, when I was doing 250/250 on a mustang dyno plus a dual exhaust (didnt get it dynoed after the exhaust, but we could estimate about 265/265) I could do the 0-60mph run in 5.02 seconds. That was with an auto and stock gears too

I cant wait to get my car back, hopefully I will have the 0-60mph down to the low-mid 4s on stock gears

sound like most of you think it would be close, i have the answer....my friend has the 6 with all the goodies ive mentioned and another buddy of mine has his dads bone stock gt for the week and so last night, 7ish we tested my theory and we did 4 races and every time my friend in the 6 won, by 1 or less car lengths. i know what your thinking its a drivers race, well in this case both cars are auto, no experience needed, traction controll was off in both and the GT has 15k miles and the 6 has 20k, sorry GT guys the V6 is a fast little sucker with a few bolt ons. oh and after the race i smoked the stock GT with my car, i had to get in on the fun. i wish i had a video camera cause i know most of you GT guys wont believe this.

-cheers
Congrats to you V6 guys. Yeah the V6 is a fast little sucker with a few bolt ons. I'd love to see a quarter mile race with the modded V6 vs. a stock GT. How much do you have to do to a V6 before it beats a stock GT in a quarter mile?

The fast N/A 6ers do mid-low 14s and high 13s (on the rare side for 13s). It takes basically all the bolt ons to do that. In order to get anything more we need F/I. The fastest personal 6er run I have heard of (not by a company) was 10.98 or something. The turbos do wonders on our cars

It's a decent question, let's not turn it into a contest.

My opinion is the GT will win, and I'm guessing it has 3.31 gears if it's an automatic/ 3.55 gears if it's a stick. Average rwhp 262 (bone stock)
Im stealing that smiley....
I put my money on the stock gt
just have your buddy line up with a stock gt

i thinkthe 6would lose only by a car or so in the quarter, the V8 really is betterat higher speeds. i think his car could run in themid-high 13's

It's fairly well documented what each of these cars run with the mods listed (or lack of mods for the GT)
GT stock trim auto - probably high 13's
4.0 w/ bolt ons - mid to low 14's

I personally haven't seen a bolt on 4.0 break 13's yet. It will happen soon though.

The GT just has too much grunt for the 1320' that a bolt on 4.0 can't handle. The race will be won by more than 1 car length.
Obviously driver mod is in full effect, but equal drivers is what I am basing this on.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 4.0 and this engine really shines with forced induction. Some crazy ET's out there for this V6, but the GT can be a sickly fast car and even in stock form is no slouch.

Ive seen plenty of V6s run here in Oklahoma.... 15s all day long WITH CAI and tune... there was the occasional 14.7 at 95mph or so.... but that took a lot of bolt ons... I was running 13.7 at 102 STOCK....sorry the V6 in a quarter mile no matter how you look at it will not be close to a V8 (all things being equal). FULL bolt ons..it would be a closer race, BUT stock the GT would still win. This isnt my opinion... this is what I have witnissed over and over again at the track.
