Default Lowering Question

I got a 07 v6 mustang and just had in lowered with eibach sportline springs. Every thing seems fine except one thing. I looked at the back tires and the wheel gap on the drivers side looks less then the side on the. Basically I think the drivers side it lower that the passengers side. Now I can be sure that the car is not level. All I can tell is that the wheels gaps are different with the drivers side looking about 1/2 inch lower on the drivers side.

Could this bea problem? Keep in mind that I have new sprngs. Maybe I need to just let them settle a little bit. Or is it possible that since I usually sit alone, the car just tends to lower on the drivers side. Or maybe more weight is just on the drivers side (I just got a full tank and I think the gas is on the driver's side).

Is this normal? What should I be checking out if there is a problem? I don't know if the wheel gaps were identical before I had it lowered but now that it has been lowered, I can now notice it. Thanks for any help

Could it be that the rear end has shifted to the drivers side from
lowering without an adjustable panhard barand this is what you
are seeing as a difference in height?

Definitely get the adjustable panhard bar to recenter the rear end. You have to give the springs time to settle as well.

How can I tell if the rear is off-center? It looks centered to me. I think I will just wait a few days before I start to worry. The place that lowered it lets you take it in after 500 miles to have it alligned again after the springs are broken in. Besides, the diferrence in height is very small about (1/2 inch). But i'll make sure to bring it up once I take it in again.

I was really just wondering if anyone elses mustang has the wheel gap on one side larger than the other perhaps because the weight distribution on the car is uneven, or do i have a problem. Heck I cant even be sure the car is on a level surface when I checked. ButI was in my garage.

I just took it back and they checked everything out. The rear drivers wheel is lower by 1/4 inch compared to the other side. They said that no cars is ever, perfectly level, even stock. 1/4 inch of is perfectly normal and is likely beacuse the lower side is where the gas tank is. The explaination makes sense to me. Or are they just BSing me? I mentioned the Panhard bar and they said that was not the problem.

+1

There was a post on this not long ago, apparently this is normal. []

I remember laughing and saying, "Nice, I spent 28k on a car that "naturally" leans to the left."

1/4 inch isn't that bad. Heck no one will even notice it unless I point it out. But I think I have OCD and let little things like this bother me. I just want to make sure it is normal and doesn't affect performance or cause damage.

BSing you.
Full tank of gas or just a partial tank?
Stangs has asaddle bag type gas tank
and I would recommend filling it up
to the top before taking any measurments.
