If you are going to do a S/C as your FI then *don't* do UDPs (you'll have to go back to stock to make the belts work) or CMCV deletes (S/Cs already 'delete' these as part of their design). Headers are a good thing and I'll be going with the larger primaries when the time comes.
OTOH - if going turbo then *don't* do the headers (turbo kits are usually designed to work with stock exhaust only).
Don't be shy about putting gears in. One of the myths here is that a short gear (like a 4.10) isn't good with S/C. Take a good look at what some of the quickest cars on the forum are running and make up your own mind.

Now that I'm S/C I still get the great response when I don't put my foot in it. When I do, it's like having 532 rwhp instead of 432 which is especially helpful in secord or third gear 'roll acceleration'.
I actually get better mileage with the S/C than without. I average 22 highway even with the 4.10s.
The downside is I couldn't hook in first even before the S/C. I have to baby it even more now off the line (and when I'm hooked in second too). Of course, being on the stock wheels and tires may have something to do with that.
.Brent ran 11.17 in hisMustang with his Stage IV setup, and otherwise totally stock auto with the exception of headers, 4.10s, and DRs. (Note the lack of suspension mods....). Once you get into serious track work you might want to adjust the gear to optimize ET/trap.
Would I choose to put in 4.10s if I'd done the S/C first? Probably (with what I know now). Just would not been as big of a priority.
