If you still have your old gears, I need a favor. I picked up a set of 4.10's off ebay, suppose to be brand new Ford gears. Not FRPP, but Ford gears from a 4.10 ranger. I need to know if there is any markings on your stock gears the designate they are OEM. They are brand new and both say 4.10, but I justwanna make sure I didn't get Motive when I wanted Ford. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I believe there is a way to tell motive from ford. its hard to explain but by looking at them i think the difference is in this pic below... at least this is what my shop told me. If im wrong call me a dumbass.
Supposedly the ford racing gears & OEMhave thatslant right there at the bottom of the gear.

And the motives are square, like this

I change gears all the time....1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-3, 3-2.... etc. Oh....nevermind.

These are Ford gears, not FRPP. And some are motives. Well the gears are slanted so I hope thats the right idea. lol
