don't worry about stalling, you'll get the hang of it and you'll also be suprised how fast you can learn to start the car back up, so nobody rear-ends you[sm=smiley36.gif]

Manual, believe us when we say that you will have regrets if you get an auto.....it's inevitable. Though there is a big "but" in dealing with the kind of conditions you drive in. I say you would probably get used to it anyway and it wouldn't be as bothersome as it sounds. I can tell your kind of regretting it right now because of you asking this question. It's going to linger in your head until you do something about it. I really can't give you reassurance that "you made the right choice" because I love my manual. If you do decide to change just make sure your can. Once your car gets a vin number you will only have a small amount of time to make a decision.

I say you should get what you want and not listen to the advise of a bunch of anonymous Internet people.

So if you want a manual - buy one. Even if you never had one it will be a good experience for you.

I have ownedmany manual tranny Mustangs.
I have an automatic in this Mustang and NO REGRETS, but I am mostly in to drag racing , which favors automatics.

I must be the minority here I got the manual and regret it, in fact that is the only thing about the car I regret. I use thecar from April to October for funand transportation I drive 50+ miles a day and by the time I get home my leg is sore from the clutch. If you want comfortget the automatic, if you wantit more for the funfactor get the manual.

Heres my next question, If I decide I want a manual. My order has been "sent to ford" in the words of my dealer but i still dont have a build date, can I still change it to a manual or is it to late?

Yes, I believe that you can.

And +1 for the manual. Yes, some days I hate it, but if I had to do it again, I would still get it.

I got the manual because
1) I like it more (my preference)
2)Always felt like I had more control with a manual with high torque, rwd cars
3) easier to drive (take off in 2nd/3rd gear) in slick surfaces.
4)more fun. (again, my preference)

Get what you want, if you don't like it, trade it for something different! It's your money.

No traffic is worse than LA traffic, and I'm driving a manual. Never regretted it.
