If you're planning on (vinyl) striping it, do that first prior to the Shaker. Must make sure that the stripes are layed dead center or else risk the Shaker trim ring looking off-center in relation to the stripes.
The trim will will have some side-to-side and forward-aft play in it, but don't rely on that if you want everything centered.
