They do the exact same thing.. Some tuners like brenspeed only use the SCT or vis versa. This has been discussed in great detail. Just search and read.

Talk to your tuner of choice. There are generally more tuners to choose from that use SCT.

On the M5 I dont think it really matters. If you have an A5 though note only the SCT can control the line pressure.

Think of an SCT or Diablo tuner like a comparison between a stainless steel beer stein or a red plastic party cup: They both can hold beer (i.e., the tune)- but it's the beer that is important, not the cup (the tuner).

They both do the same thing, the tune is what is important.

That being said, SCT tuners are bit more widely used than the Diablo ones. Find out which tuner your local speed shop supports and then make your decision.
