Default E-Brake Problem- HELP!!!

Hey all-

I just replaced the stereo in my 05 GT. After finishing the install, I'm now having problems with my ebrake. The lever will move up and down, turning off and on the e brake light. However, the cable will not disengage, meaning that the car is stuck with the ebrake on. I looked at the cable- its not off of the track, however when you lower the handle it does not move (meaning there's slack on it) Tightening the ebrake handle simply tightens the cable. Help!

Default RE: E-Brake Problem- HELP!!!

Is it cold, may be the infamous frozen cable, look a couple threads up, if not remove console top look & see if you disloged cable when you took it off.
