Backed Into, With Big Pics, How Much?

RE: Backed Into, With Big Pics, How Much?
wouldn't it be best to go to some repair shops and get estimates?[sm=dontgetit.gif]
Get 2 or 3 and make sure they are replacing/ painting to original specs using factory parts. Ask the parents for the cash before reporting it to their insurance company. They won't want that on the kid's driving record.

Orion, I was just curious as to how much money I would be able to get out of the guy and plan the purchases I would have to make. I was swampedwith mid-term reviews all last yesterday so I didn't quite have any time. Today, however, I'll go to the dealership and get their estimate, knowing that it will be the highest hehe. Chances are I'll go duals because of this, not that it's a bad thing.

Try and post a pic not so zoomed in and on an angle so we can see the dent better, and PM Pascal as he is a bigtime body guy and a body shop owner. He is a real honest straight up guy. Good luck and sorry about this.

I went to the body shop earlier today and that little dent will get me a lot more money. Honestly, that little dent is not any deal of importance to me. I was quoted, including the dent, a total of $1098.24. That covers just about everything I need to convert to duals, bumper, h-pipe, and another axle back. I of course won't be going to the shop to fix the bumper as it's as much, if not cheaper tojust go with the GT takeoff. If it bugs me enough, I'll go back and have just the dent quoted. But for now, it looks like I'll have $800 to pick up whatever I need after the bumper. I should be fine. Thanks guys.

Thanks Joe... But I can't help him from here (FL).
Looks like he has a shop lined up...
Hey 760Mustang, avoid dealer for bodywork if you can help it.
They're usually terrible.
Also, who ever is fixing that 1/4 panel, make sure that they clear it all the way down to the windshield post.
No blending BS here.

Thanks for the adivce pascal. I don't intend on even going back to the shop, but they said that they would have to put a new coat of clear down the entire side. I don't intend on having ANY work done to my car either. I'm just going to get a GT take-off bumper, not visit the shop again, and leave that miniscule dent. It's a price I'll have to pay, but I look at it as the price I don't have to pay for duals.
