personally, i'm glad when folks post these sort of stories - it's good to be reminded sometimes that we're all only human, and of course, "to err is human." sorry for your bad luck, op, but thanks for telling your tale . we have ALL done stupid things and made bad decisions in our lives, despite how some immediately judge and claim otherwise. i'm glad the only damage was suffered by the stang - that's easily (though expensively) fixed. it's a tough lesson learned, but once learned, hopefully never forgotten !

I don't know your age but, I now hand down to my children what my father did to me. After it rained and also snowed, when i had my learners permit, he took me to a large open parking lot without parking lights in the middle and made me lose control of the car by slamming on brakes, turning the wheel etc and forcing me time and again to recover. it taught me how to recover from bad situations and slamming on the brakes is the reaction of inexperience as is driving beyond your and your vehicle's capabilities. Once fixed, and I assume you are young, ask your dad to do the same with you.

My kids were scared at first and i even made them do it on dry pavement so they could see that stock street tires do not drift like you see on tv nor react like you see in the movies when stunt drivers do their aggressive moves.

You were not hurt, the others weren't hurt; sometimes lessons are expensive but you did not pay the ulitmate price and be thankful ( and humble)for that.

Stupid? Yes! Have we all been there? Yes!
Live and learn....

Glad you were not hurt!
Sorry about the car.

Never touched another object with me vehicle.
Good for you...

BTW That wasnt meant as a literal statement refering only to automobiles.
I meant we have all done something stupid and in hindsite dangerous.
You try to learn from these situations and move on.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
(If your an atheist just consider it philosophy).
