Motortrend dynoed the auto at 267 H.P. and 283 TQ. I have seen stock '05 5 speeds run 13.3 stock which is what a stock LS1 will run. I don't know what an SS runs. The new mighty GTO is slower than your Camaro. The best it will do is maybe mid 13s because it weighs 3800 pounds. Also what do you run? To beat 03/04 Cobras which run mid 12s stock, that would mean that you run 11s or low 12s. The only way I see you beating one is from a ricer roll. We all know that LS1s have more top end which would mean they are better from a roll. I am done with you now you are just like every other Jesus motor owner who thinks they are a GOD. I hope you continue to enjoy that GEO STORM on steroids.

a cobra has never dusted my ss,i have beat the only 2 i know of in my city. the 2003 was what 390 hp well with an ss that is a muffler and a lid and programming you need a flippin supercharger to make that much power but it is ok i will be getting the new 400 hp gto i think that makes what like another 1/4 of the hp a 2005 gt makes.. chevy can make power ford knows how to make parts cheap thats why the chevy is not back yet cost efectiveness. hell the motor alone in my ss is listed as 6000$ but hey if ford keeps wanting to make the new gt i will continue to put ponies to the pasture....I am a chevy/ford guy i have both a stang and a camaro i built the stang and bought the ss My 87 351 will kick the dirt out of my ss but race gas is pricey whats the ram air??? you talking about a ws6 i will somehow find a dyno run of the gt
Wow, a boat anchor for $6000.00. Now who looks stupid? I have a 2005 Mustang GT. I'll be your huckleberry.

during our last dyno day, i saw 2 stick 05 GTs go. one dyno'd at like 275RWHP and the other at like 268RWHP. there was an auto 05 that dyno'd at 235RWHP. they had an 03 cobra there that dyno'd at 400RWHP with nothing but a catback on it. they put in just a regular K&N air filter and ran it again and got 425RWHP.

well onefast2002ss, i'm sure your SS is fast, i know, my ex had one. having said about the only positive thing i can about the f-body's, i would take the pepsi challenge agaist your ss any day with an 03/04 cobra and honestly, i would race a stock SS with my new GT...i'm pretty sure that there will be no pasture placing going on around here. and yes, by RamAir, i am referring to the WS6, you know, that $6000 package that added 15 horsepower.

Here we go again with another LS1 guy talking about their N/A 5.7L puts out more HP than our 4.6L. It's such a moot point that it makes me sick, but will someone please clue this guy in the fact that his engine has 1.1 more Liters? So what if we have to stick a blower on ours to absolutely toast an SS. He is so full of $hit about smoking an 03/04 Cobra too. But we'll just chalk him up with the other pointless threads about the LS1 being better then our (again) 4.6L. I don't think I can re-iterate that again. Let's do this together kids -- 4.6L < 5.7 or 5.7 > 4.6. Ok, I think we get the point.

Why do we even bother with this "puss". We all know he's not putting any V8 'stang to pasture. We know that GM doesn't even want to make the car he has anymore (he's stuck with an albatros). Hell, they don't even want to make the GTO anymore.

This guy's probably driving a 5 year old Malibu for all we know.

What we do know about him, is he's full of shat.

i drive a 2002 ss w 6 speed 3.73 gears, lid, throttle bodie, hooker long tubes headders, punched cats, programing, true dual dual exhaust and slp's ram air mod for my scoop, will dyno shortly but if it beats a 400 hp c-6 vette than i guess a {03} cobra isnt to hard to do and yes i have raced about a dozen 05 gt's and only 2 2003 cobras wanted to race my car......My 87 lx w 351w 40 over has close to 5800 into it and im not even done with the thing yet i have only lost in my mustang to 1 car and that car was a 2001 viper {i will never forget it} so my fastest car i own is a ford so you chevy bashers and bashing the wrong guy. I drive the camaro because it makes almost 30 mpg while the stang goes around 12 mpg tops the 351w is carburated w 750 holley stright 3 inch exhaust to the twin 40 series flows not to mention it is a 79 that i had remanufactured as a roller cam with 11.1 comp w ford gt40 p heads the stang makes close to 480+ hp range and like 500+ tourke..

Ithink were bashing the right guy that comes on and post a message saying that his top of the line ss blows all mustang gt's.. That’s like going on the chevy forum and telling them the PoS LS models get carbon monoxide poisoning from sucking all my fumes. For the price and performance there is nothing better... Thats why the mustangs are still on sale and someone is not

BTW: If you tuned your mustang right you would get ****y performance and gas mileage [sm=exactly.gif]
