the dyno slip if you learned to read said i ran it 358 i should of put in it only had a cat back and a filter on it at the time and i have not dynoed it scence, but i have added all the other mods i have in there so w/e you stupid a s ses cant read where i say i have a fuggin mustang that is faster than my ls1 and im also looking to buy a 2004 gt{i knida like the look of them} or a gto ???i dont know yet. and for the mpg it took me 2 1/2 tanks to drive from oklahoma to michigan and made it in 11 hours the 6th gear of a camaro will drop the rpm to idle at 50 mph dont believe me go drive one.{the mpg might be lower than 30 by mayby 4 mpg} or look it up on your comp. you may be right that chevy wont make a new camaro, the price of a decently loaded gt doesnt come close to the cost of a decently loaded z28.gm is making a new rwd car because of the zeta2 program which is a chevelle, they canceld zeta 1 last month, but an ss is only 20 hp more than a z28 so how is a mustang gt a mid level and the ss is high level? to all you badazzes behind the keybords read my entire posts just not the parts you like. I hand built the engine in my mustang i have had the car for 7 years i would sell the camaro before the stang anyday all i wanted to know with this thread was has anyone seen a dyno slip from a 2005 gt which noone has posted yet so obviously you all just want to bark at a chevy and listen to what ford says you car makes..

have any of you 2005 300hp gt's have a dyno slip to prove this. Im sorry but i have raced about a dozen 05 ponies and all of them lose by at least 3 car lenghts. My ride is a 35th anniv ss camaro with dyno slips of a 358 hp run but the stang weighs less and has 300??Is your 300 at the flywheel or at the wheels, or is it like the 99?{i cant remember year} that was rated 15 hp more than it made?
what year was that ford did claim to many horepower?????

i drive a 2002 ss w 6 speed 3.73 gears, lid, throttle bodie, hooker long tubes headders, punched cats, programing, true dual dual exhaust and slp's ram air mod for my scoop, will dyno shortly but if it beats a 400 hp c-6 vette than i guess a {03} cobra isnt to hard ...
im going to the drag strip this weekend so i will post my times and the times of a c-6 to prove this...

What a douche, can't even keep his story straight. 50 horsepower would need about 500 less lbs weight to make up the difference.. and thats if a manufacturer were stupid enough to rate the cars power at the wheels. Your car according to your first post makes about 100 more horsepower than the Mustang and you're saying that 200lb weight difference should make it closer than 3 car lengths? I'm sorry that you are such a bad driver a '05 Mustang stayed 3 cars behind a car with 100more horsepower than it. Oh wait nevermind, you haven't actually dynoed yet cause yer doing it shortly.. If you can lie about dynoing your car I guess a {03} cobra isn't hard to lie about either..

And if you get 30mpg in your SS I think some people would start trading in their 4cylinders for V8's they are the real economy cars.. WTF?
and i have about 200+ lbs worth of subs and amps in the hatch so ad 200lbs to my weight of my car listen im not like most posters i will prove everything i say if you want pics of the subs on a scale i will post that ill post the specs of the mpg i think slp has them online 18-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highwayhttp://www.camarosource.ca/php/camaro_info_db/index.php?year=2002

the dyno slip, if you learned to read, said i ran the car at 358 (whp/rwhp). i should of put in that it only had a cat back and a filter on it at the time and i have not dynoed it scence (since), but i have added all the other mods i have in there so w/e. you stupid a s ses cant read what i say. i have a fuggin mustang that is faster than my ls1 and im also looking to buy a 2004 gt{i knida like the look of them} or a gto ???i dont know yet. As for the mpg it took me 2 1/2 tanks to drive from oklahoma to michigan and made it in 11 hours. the 6th gear of a camaro will drop the rpm to idle at 50 mph; dont believe me go drive one. (I might add that I have driven one a number of times thank you..) {the mpg might be lower than 30 by mayby 4 mpg} or look it up on your comp. you may be right that chevy wont make a new camaro, the price of a decently loaded gt doesnt come close to the cost of a decently loaded z28.gm is making a new rwd car because of the zeta2 program which is a chevelle. they canceld zeta 1 last month. an ss is only 20 hp more than a z28. so how is a mustang gt a mid level and the ss is high level? (That didn't make any god damn sense) to all you badazzes behind the keybords: read my entire posts, not just the parts you like. I hand built the engine in my mustang, i have had the car for 7 years. i would sell the camaro before the stang anyday. all i wanted to know with this thread was: had (keep your tense fool) anyone seen a dyno slip from a 2005 gt, which noone has posted yet. so obviously you all just want to bark at a chevy and listen to what ford says you car makes...

25mpg is not 30mpg, 30mpg on the highway is not the mpg you get on a regular basis. Lets not brag about 30mpg unless you say that you are getting that mileage on the highway, originally. I can read, I can read just fine, but you can't write. Usually it is a good idea to end one comment before you start another- (Refer to bold edits in your post). It is so difficult to deal with morons.

Ok i didn't know we were at a spelling and grammar bee. I drive the camaro more on the highway than on the street. I guess i can claim the highway miles per gallon then.

" but an ss is only 20 hp more than a z28 so how is a mustang gt a mid level and the ss is high level?"

So you dont think the extra 20 HP and extra torque would matter? If is was not an improvement they why have an SS? And you still paid 5K more too.. ohh.. and its also ugly [sm=icon_ladiesman.gif] (cheap shot sorry)

no i paid 21000 for mine with 6000 miles on it and now the nada value of a 2002 ss is like what 23000 i made 2 g you lost 5g driving it off the lot, and that sticker is based off the automatic you know manual 6 speeds makes more mpg than that

I got 20K for it and thats with everything and little miles in perfect condition. If you paid 2100K you got a good deal. Much better then average... but as in the other link that was a 30K I could saved moeny if I bought an 05 in 08. So in a nut shell in 2002 an ss went for 30K and with in 3 years (I dont know when you bought it) but you got it for 21K with only 6K miles???? doesnt that tell you something?
