not sure it's going to change anyone's opinions, but I had a very pleasant experience with BlueOvalIndustries. I bought my pypes violator exhaust from them on ebay, paid, and received it promptly without issue. I'll certainly buy from them again.
Keep in mind, you never hear about the hundreds and thousands of smooth transactions, only the 2 or 3 bad ones.

WOW... I have ordered a few parts from BOI and I did not have any problems..... I guess it only takes one bad grape to spoil the wine though. The good far outweighs the bad but its hard to get the bad outta your head once its there.... Hope all parties involved gets there issues addressed....

Bad 1032 it looks to me that the common thread here may be John and not Blue Oval. I wonder if his boss knows about this? Plus how much time he spends on the internet.hummmm. You know I think I may call him and just let him know hummmmm. Because all I was looking for was a polite "yes we will send that item sir" thank you for your order. sorry to hear shipping to Canada takes so long. But we will do all we can to get that item to you as soon as possible. Not "well just go buy it sonewhere else"that is unprofessional.

I would not deal with either of these guys (Black mombo or Gilligan)if they communicated to me that way.
And if that is true then you would loose business, I am not the one selling I am buying. I am not the attacker, yeah I might have been a little out of line. But I was offended by there lack of professionalism. I mean it sounds like John is the one with the attitude. If you want your customers to return and spread the good news then you have to show them more respect.
All i care to say is that when im dealing with a vendor, i expect them to be polite, well-mannered, and willing to help. BOI didn't really leave any impression of that, especially coming to the forum and posting private communication between a potential buyer and seller and feeling the need to defend themselves. As a corporation, it makes them look childish IMO whatever the case and the facts may be.A simple 'yes' or 'no' from BOI and a response to his orginal question would have been the approiateresponse.
Parts for our cars are expensive and there are plenty of vendors out there. It seems like the compaines i keep returning to are the ones that go above and beyond with their customer service (American Muscle, Stage 3 motorsports, wheelskin.com).

I felt that the BOI responce was in self defense. I can't fault him for that. He was tring to protect his business on here. It would go a long way if he would publicly address the concerns that a few on here have posted. In my mind, that would make things right again.

"The circumstances behind your problem were very unfortunate. I am sure had things been dealt with in a different manner, we could have solved your problem, however since we were unable to provide you with the information you needed, and you have decided not to do business with us, we can only apologize for any misunderstanding and hope that you choose to give us anothe chance in the future."
Anything more than a response such as the one above should have been done via PM. Since BOI made the comments they did, I personally have never done business with them, and I will choose not to simply on the attitude displayed here. Had they of made a comment such as the one I posted, right or wrong, I would have possibly done business with them.
It's all about public image, not about right or wrong when it comes to business.

Businesses don't need to defend themselves on public forums. They should have simply said:

Look at the difference of how AM (and other vendors should) handle issues like this:

I too had a not-so-pleasant experience purchasing some parts from Blue Oval, and like a previous poster, when I wrote the company explaining my concerns regarding quality issues, I received a basic snot-o-gram telling me ship them back, which, when totalled with the original shipping costswould have cost me more than the parts were worth. So, rather than get in to a pissing contest, I, like so many other consumers, quietly chose to do business with other vendors and give them my hard earned dollars. All I can say is in my experience, American Muscle has been absolutely outstanding, in both product descriptions, communication, shipping, and support, Blue Oval would do well to learn from AM. Regardless, it's too late, I will never go back to Blue Oval because once burned, always shy. Others are free to choose and may have had good experiences with Blue Oval, I wish you luck & success, but that vendor will never see another $ from me.I stay loyal to vendors with good service and products, butfor others who burn me: "screw me once, shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me" - I don't get burned twice.
