Use the search feature. Another topic beaten to death. Ask20 peeps, get20 answers.

IMHO... Warranties are for people that like to bet their cars will fall apart. And from what I've heard, the warranty costs more than most repairs people incur.
I have no luck with MF's search module.

And IME, auto warranties have saved my family's *** more than I can count; when we didn't have them, we always got burned.

Besides, lookit my sig. I've been babying this car every day for the past 3 years, you think I'll just let it fall apart?

Troy ford is running a special. They are offering 11 months no interest or a $250 rebate. The prices seem reasonable. I average about 4K miles/yr.

I got a quote to extend my bumper to bumper warranty to 7/36 for $880.

HERE IS THE BROCHURE:

Check out their prices and then talk to your dealer to see if he can meet or beet it:

Sweet thanks. I have some reading material for the long work day tomorrow.

Another MF member PM'ed me some information on http://www.fordwarrantys.com. Anyone ever get a warranty through these guys?

Default RE: Extended Warranty?

I got the extended warranty from Troy Ford on New Years Eve to get a good discount. I guess they're still offering it. You can buy it whenever you want. Don't buy extended warrantees from Dealers.
If oyu have modded your engine in any way and want to do more don't bother, but if you like the security of the warranty it's worth the price.

And who said that it's cheaper to fix these cars?!?
One little problem could run over 500 bucks! They charge a fortune just for the labor here.

I have an 08 with 10k miles and I have the 3rd gear grind, which is going to require my tranny to get rebuilt. I think Ill definatly buy the extended warranty before my bumper/bumper expires. I was looking its like 1500 to buy the best warranty with 7 years/100000 mile coverage, im sure thats much less that the rebuild of my transmition.
