What about Weld? I heard they had a wheels for our car that fits without modification in the 15" size. I have some cash rat holed away the wife doesn't know about so I might just buy some new rear drag wheels.

I'm sure they have one that fits I just don't know about all the backspacing, offset and such.

I'm thinking 15x10 with some MT slicks/DRs equals a 1.5-1.6 60' on a good track.

I'm sold! I've wondered how 15's would look on an s197. I've seen a few on the sn95's and liked the look. Nice ride n' wheels PL

The problem is weld doesn't make them anymore and all the one's floatin' around' out there have been gobbled up. Very difficult to find a set. The Bogarts are the rim of choice for drag racers for the S197. You need 3" studs and you need to either remove your rear sway bar or relocate it with the BMR relocation brackets. Many of us guys running the bogarts are also using the BMR extreme anti roll bar which deletes your rear sway bar anyway. There are no issues at all fitment wise over the stock calipers.

The comparison pic someone posted a few posts back was ridiculous - comparing a skinny front runner to a standard tire is stupid. Look at a stock 17" wheel next to a bogart with a 28/12.5-15 slick and it looks bad ***...

The bogart welded rt's (the ones for us) are extermemly lightweight aluminum and why they are not for everyday street use. I have driven over 1000 miles though on the front MT Sportsman tires and have never had an issue with the rim but I woulodn't push my luck with the rears. I don't like changing 4 tires at the track so I drive there with the fronts on and just change the rears.

+1 on the longer studs (forgot about that). I just dropped the swaybar but maybe I should look into relocation brackets.

Zkiller you know where I can locate those?
Forget the relocation brackets - With your power the BMR extreme anti roll bar should be #1 on your list of mods to buy IMO...

Greg Weld has the Racelite Series in 15's in the Series 92 Dragstar and Series 93 Prolite currently available but they only fit the cars built through Mid-May 2005. The later cars have different calipers. They are currently going through a redesign and should be available tofit the later cars this summer.

These wheels are street legal and very affordable. If you cant wait and have a later car they offer 17's including a 17x4.5 Front Runner that fit the later cars currently. They also have a 17x9.5 with 7.0 BS for the later cars.
You can get 17" DOT Legal Front Runner Type Tires from M&H.

With any of the 15's you will need the different endlink/relocators for the rear swaybar. I believe BMR has these.
