i turned it to unlock the doors and held it until the windows rolled down then held it for 5 seconds, then turned it to the lock position until the windows rolled up then held it for 5 seconds.

Try your remote also and see if you hold down the unlock button if your windows go up or if you hold the lock button if your windows go up

 

I know I can roll the windows down with the remote before, didn't think I could roll them up. I will try first thing in the morning, before I call ford. How long do you have to have the key in the unlock position before the windows would go down?

 

i put the key in turned it to the unlock position, the doors unlocked and about 2-3 seconds after the doors unlocked the windows went down. It should fix your problem, i know you can recalibrate your windows for certain things by holding down the window switches, which is what the manual says to do, but that does not fix your problem with the global windows, i am thinking by using the door lock to roll up and down the windows and holding it for a few seconds recalibrates the windows that have the global windows function, just my opinion but it fixed my problem.

I am still going to go and have this function disabled, i dont need my windows rolling down on there own a few seconds after i walk away from my car, it has only happened to my twice but alls it takes is one time for all your stuff or your car to come up missing.

 

you mean unlocking you car with the key also unlocks the passenger side door as well, I have never tried this before. I will give this a try and let you know what happens. thanks for your help.

 

Just thought I would let you all know that it worked. My car is back to normal again. Thanks for all your help jay1974! Oh, and I asked some Ford dealers about disconnecting this feature, and they all said it is some module and none of them would touch it.

 

Glad to hear it worked. Figures ford said they won't touch it. Well at least you know how to fix it next time it happens.
