Well, I certainly hate to be the one to bumm out Dale Jarrett, but his "exclusive" package sure looks ALOT like a Street Scenes body kit.

I picked up my Silver GT Convertible, and have put over 300 miles on it this weekend cruising up and down PCH. Having brought the roof up an down, I notice that it sits a bit higher than my 86 verts did. However It was explained to me @ the dealer that that was the design so you didn't require the soft boot for a nice finish.

One thing I notices, is that when foding the roof down, the inside liner on teh driverside gets caught up on the back seat (on the drivers side) when it is folding down.....I am gonna have to take it back to see what they Say.

As for your sitting too high, check out another 2 or 3 before coming to a conclusion.

Cheers

Brian

when i had my 94 GT vert, i would put the top about 50 % down then walk back and pull the folds toward the back, this allowed the top to go farther down. also when you put the top down hold the switch long enough to make it go down tight. this will prevent some wear. also as big a pain that the tonneau cover is, it will make the top last longer too. if you have places that rub when going up or down, get help holding the top away. i added some duct tape is spots on the body and used safety wire to hold other parts of the top away ffrom wear points.

Gleetz: Here's what I do when that happens:

Lower top most of the way down, until the last fold starts to appear. Sometimes this last fold doesn't fold all the way. If it bunches up, I use the edge of my hand in karate-chop mode and smack the fold towards the front of the car. Then the top will lower completely.

This usually only happens when I leave the top up for a really long time. Once the fold gets back in place, it tends to stay there.

Hope this helps.
