damn that's a lot more than i planned on spending for this.. going to save my money for the gauges and install instead.
this was for a custom converter good for alot of hp. the shop said a TCI is a decent converter if your not gonna run crazy hp

There weren't as many options then as there are now. For what he's looking to do the TCI should work fine. If he goes much above 500rwhp, he should probably go with something a little more stout.

That's what I got. I've probably put 20k miles on it since I installed it. Worksgood on the street and great at the track. Dropped .3-.4 off my et's

Go TCI if you want but I have been building fast cars and been around drag racing for a long long time. Every single person that I know that buys a TCI regrets it at some point. It's not about being stout it's about quality construction and getting the best performance. If your buying a tq converter and you are not spending $700+ your getting junk plain and simple. This is one of those parts that you really do not want to skimp on.
