sounds like a programming glitch. When you step on the gas at that speed, does it downshift? If not, disconnect the (-) battery cable for a few minutes then reconnect it. If it's a programming glitch that should set it straight (reset the computer). Other than that, having OD on will cause that downshift lag or lack of downshift at those speeds.

The night they called to tell me the car was in, I ran down to pick it up & I hadn't driven one yet, so I took mine for a mile or so test drive....when I returned and the salesman asked me what I thought, thats what I told him..."It doesn't seem to get up and go!...."
Well I am gonnna take it in tomorrow, so I will keep you all posted.

Here is a first hand comparison based on my experience. My son had a 97 GT vert. His best time at the track was a 14.7 after numerous runs. I’d say the average times were about 14.9. My daughter’s 05 GT 5 speed runs consistent low 14’s with her best time 13.8. JMO. Both cars were stock with only a KN air filter in the 97.
