I wonder if this could be used to get out of speeding tickets.
Get a ticket, flash the compter that the speedo is off, go get it calibrated, take the proof to the court and bam, dismissed ticket...I wonder. [8D]

Go ahead and try it... then let us know how much the ticket cost you.

I think there was a 4.88 option on mine.

If you also adjust the gears to say 4.55 or the highest it goes you can too. Not that I've done that

I don't think it will cost and no they will add an unsafe vic charge to you.
I knew a guy who wired up a reostat to his Dodge Ram speedo and go out of 2 tickets that way.
it is more common then you think for speedos to go out of calibration and an excepted practice by the courts to go have them tested for calibration.

WTF happen to honestly is this country. people put so much time and effort and other money to get out of a $75 ticket, or around double if you dont want insurance to find out. Man up, we all speed and if you get caught, look at it that you didnt get caught the other 1000 times and you are lucky.

yeaaaa, but if you have an Escort 9500i radar detector with an internal GPS that acts like a HUD (which is all I look at anyway). I don't even look at my speedo ever....

I agree that honesty in gone in the world, as are manners and integrity.
However, I am an honest person; I don't lie, cheator steal from people.
I would never try to cheat my odometer that would be cheating the next guy that comes along to buy it.

However I will do whatever I can to get out of having a ticket on my record because of the gay new laws in Virginia.
Asimple speeding ticket now stays on your license for 5-7 years depending on the speed.
Points now drop off only 1 per a year and only if you do not get any new tickets.
The new laws were setup by David Albo, a Virginia delegate AND TRAFFIC ATTORNY!!
The new laws only benefit traffic attorneys and insurance companies.
Our entiregovernmental system has becomeso corrupt that I have ZERO problems with cheating them and they are lying, cheating, stealing, and conniving on us every second of every day.
