You know there is probably something that the Ford engineers put in the PCM that will record the "real" mileage, versus any mileage modified by a programmer... Somewhere along the line, someone plugs in a diagnostic tool and BAM! You get popped for odometer fraud!
This is not true...lol

My car is doing 80 mph when the odometer reads 57 mph. This is because I never went in and calculated for the 30" tires. It has nothing to do with 'fraud' for me. I'm just lazy, and haven't had it a priority to do in my tune for awhile. I'll eventually compensate but it's not a big deal to me. Staying alive while driving the car is more on my mind than the odometer....lol

My car is 'work' to drive now and actually scary. You have to be really mindful all the time on the road. Kinda sucks, if I'm honest. I don't care what anyone says, 800+ hp on a street car takes all the fun out of driving. Wish I kept it at 650, if I'm honest.

Ok, I can't imagine that but know I have to look "6 ways" every time I get out on the road/make a lane change. With 800hp I'm sure someone would "run out in front of me" in no time...

I'd say you're a lucky guy modaddict! I'd love to just idle down the road with 800hp.

Then why did you go to 800HP on the DD?
Surely you would have known what it would be like.
I assume you have been around that kind of power before.
Anythinng over 600 is took much for the street I would think, but that is just a guess I have never driven a 600HP monster.

He never said it was a DD. But yes, 800hp on even a "street" car (especially a solid axle one) is a LOT of hp.

Actually yes he did and yes it is... Pay attention to the 4.6 Section and you may learn something...

Sorry. I guess I was thinking that when someone puts up a post about odometer fraud on a public forum they probaly aren't the sharpest tack in the box. [&:]

I don't have time to pay attention to all these forums cause I'm not on my computer all freakin day. Sorry if I never "learn" anything here.

But, yes his ride is a DD and a monster at that.
I simply don't understand how he can drive on the street with that much power.
One twich on the pedal and bad boy is off to the races.

lol. you guys are funny saying im "not the sharpest tack" and "good luck selling my car" i am not planning to ever sell my car, so i have adjusted the odometer properly to my wheel size. but seriously, i have bought enough usd cars to know that when someone sells one, they arent trying to be nice to the guy buying it. they just want the most money they can get. the reason i started this post is because it worries me how easily it would be to do it and im concerned that 5 years from now my car that really only has 50,000 kms on it will be in a sea of other cars CLAIMING to have only 50,000 when theirs are really 75, 100, even 125,000

ANYONE THAT WOULD MESS WITH THE TRUE MILEAGE ON THERE CAR DESERVES TO BE PUT IN JAIL. I knew a guy with a z28 who unplugged his speedo and drove the heck out of his car and it only showed that it had 28K miles on it. He was a BIG POS
