Default Lowering Questions

I've tried the search function and it appears to still be on the fritz. My question is, can you install the Eibach lowering springs "rear only" with out needing to re-align the rear axle?

I have the Roush rear springs in my 06 which lowered 1in and I had no problems. I'm considering getting a set of used Eibachs for my Dad's 06, but these drop supposedly 1.4in. Is that too much or would a adj panhard bar be required?

He's currently stock right now.

Maybe need an adjustable panhard.
If the rear end swings too far over
causing tire rub under full suspension
compression (up against the bump stops).
What size tires/rims/offset?

Should be fine. I have the Eibach pro-kit only, no springs or PHB.

Seems to me when you approach 1.75 - 2in is when it becomes a concern. He's using the GT stocker wheels and tires. He was impressed with the appearance when I lowered mine and he's been wanting to do the same.

The budget won't allow a PHB, so lets say for example the rear gets slightly thrown off, could a rear end alignment solve it?

This car does not have any "Rear Alignment"...there are no adjustment points in the stock rear (no Toe, Caster or Camber, no lateral adjustment for the stick axle). Like mentioned above, I also ran the Eibachs without an adjustable PHB for several months. The rear did shift slightly but it was barely noticable and did not cause any issues: handling, rubbing, etc.

YMMV - every car is a bit different, chances are you will have no issues - visual or techincal but...you never know until you try it.

Thanks for the update. I'll give it a try. Hopefully the springs are still for sale.
