Default Clicking noise while braking?

Hey stang fans, my 05 gt has about 28,000 miles and the last couple of days I'm hearing a clicking noise coming from what it seems to be the passenger side front fender area. Can anyone diagnose what may be going on here? Any help at all would be appreciated!! Thanks

Does the clicking change with your speed? For example, do you hear it at very low speeds (10MPH) and then it increases in frequency as you speed up? If so then its probably something to do with the rotor, wheel or tire. Have you examined the right front tire to see if you have picked up a nail or something that would cause the clicking? Sometimes a short nail will get embedded but not puncture the tire - you can hear it click as it hits the pavement but you don't get a flat tire.

I have the same problem it started 2 days ago.

It only happens when braking and at low speeds, it's definitely the front driver side, and the clicking slows as the car slows down, so I'm thinking maybe something wrong with the caliper or rotors, but I'm not sure, and I'm out of warranty so I can't take it in.

Sound slows as cars does? Sounds like a wheel/rotor/brake issue. Get it up on wheelstands/jack and check it out. There were some issues with the upper strut mounts on our cars causing popping noises from the shoddy bearings but from what you're explaining it definitely sounds like wheel/rotor/brake.

Yeah it's definitely either the wheel/rotor/brake.

I'll check it out tomorrow. I took it to the dealer last week for emissions inspection and when they were done, I found the lug nut lock in my cup holder so they definitely took my wheel out (for whatever reason!!), they probably didn't torque it good enough.
