Hoods do not come pre-painted as they need to be pre-fit to your car then painted.
Also if they were painted there would be a really good chance it would get scratched in shippping on truck freight
On another note, If we make that black hood would anyone buy it ?
We are thinking of developing a similar hood with larger openings and wider, taller runners.

I like the black Shelby style hood too... All I think it needs is the center intake hole like the '69 hood had. Too bad there is not more info on it.
I talked to Fang Performance (they have a NICE Shaker setup) and they are also developing a hood similar to the black one. They are also working on some fenders that are similar to the '69 Shelby.

Does Fang actually have the shaker for sale? I looked at their website and didn't see it. The make reference to Pro Finish Hoods, so I checked there too. Still didn't see anything. I would love to find an alternative to the as-yet unavailable CDC scoop... <sigh>

Yes, they are available. 2 week delivery I think. It comes with the special hood that has the nose of the '69 / '70 Mustang.
Cost is $1200, unpainted (hood and shaker) plus shipping. The Fang unit sits 4" closer to the windshield. They said that location looks better than the CDC unit - I agree. The hood locks are an additional cost ($200 maybe?)

A couple months ago, 05_Bullitt said he was going to partner with someone and start selling them. Then, he put on a Procharger, and we haven't heard from him since. He hasn't posted at all in about 6 weeks. I hope he's OK.

In one of your post i saw where you said y`all were making a Hood simalar to the KingCobra that 05_Bullit posted! If I read that correctly how is that coming & what is the price on it?! I would love to have the exact Hood 05_Bullit posted or 1 just like it with the center vent like the 69 Shelby GT500!
