The doors are not subs, but mid-bass response speakers only.
The HU equalizes all the low frequencies out of the door speakers.
The trunk mounted subs/amps are the only true non-directional
sub woofer LF transducers in a Shaker1000 OEM set-up....

Do those door panels come with the 500 or 1000 system? Id like to pick up some of the panels and put 8s in my doors oneday.
Also, how do you guys have your AM trunk setups secured? My accord has a kicker 12" l7 i wanna swap to my stang but its just in a box with a bit of velcro on the bottom. Its a heavy box and i dont drive my accord hard ever, but the stang gets a nice workout every now and then so it needs to be locked down.
