WOW! 14K on your BFG's? I must really be in the minority here as I just passed 58K on my original 18" BFG's. I plan on replacing them in about a month, but can easily get another 10K on them. Anyone using Perelli tires on their GT?

...Nuke, Do you thinkmine could handle 275/40/18, or would that be pushing it?
do you have them all around or just on the back? also do you have any pictures? thank you so much for the help.

My 275's are on all 4's but my pics are on my PC at home. If I remember I'll post them this evening after I get home.

When I get new rims/tires (as soon as my stock 235Pirellies tread is gone or they start to dry rot......which ever comes first) I am going with either the Nitto 555's or the Eagle F1's.....out of all the tires I have looked at those are my favorite choices. Not sure about the sizing for you stock 18's though. You should buy rims now with your tires so you can upgrade at once. Then you could get some big *** tires out back (275-295) and 255's up frontThats my plan.

Alright guys.
Here's my lame conclusion.
The dealer has a sale going on and they're going to put a new set of the stockers on for $570 out the door, tax and everything.
Can't beat that, especially right now when money's tight.
Thanks to all of you who helped though, i'll save this thread in my favorites sowhen I hit 28kmiles i'll already have all the information.
By then my house will be sold and I will be able to afford the real deal. Maybe even some rims!

uh oh.
you've brought a new factor into the equation.
so if I go with say 255/45/18 i'll have to get a speedo correction?
Can i do this myself with my SCT X3?
Or would my installer do it?

The OEM 235/50-18 has a known rev/mile number.
Biger (wider) tires need to be the same revs/mile
as the OEM tires.
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html
Put in 235/50-18 and 255/45-18.
740 revs/mile versus 746 revs/mile.
0.8% difference.
Not that much to worry about.
