Another way out of this, is to get your wife a key that isnt set to work with the car. These cars take special keys that only work with each indivual car. If you want to get a key made for this car, there is a procedure to get the car to accept the key. I think the owners manual explains this. It would be easier to slip your wife a "bad" key than to install special switches, etc. Just a thought.

I told my wife I wanted to keep one key in pristine condition for car shows in the distant future. So I was keeping one key out of circulation. We couldn't both drive it at the same time so when she wanted to drive she could just ask me for the key. Works quite well. There are all sorts of reasons you can give her for not driving it after she asks. Suppose to rain, needs oil, making a funny sound you need to look into first, and low on gas usually works.

I told her it's because women drive like crap and I don't trust her.

I think I will be paying alimony soon.

Name your car "Cristine" and tell your wife it will only start for you. If she knows the Sci fi movie she will get the drift LOL

Anyone install a manual kill switch? Well, actually installing the switch isn't what I need help with, I need to know where to wire it to. Schematics would come in handy if anyone has 'em.

Just put a swift kick into the drivers side kick panel. THat should trip the inertia switch and shut off the fuel. Mine did...

On a neutral safety switch there should only be two wires. Splice into both wires and connect each side to each side of a two pole toggle switch. Same for the clutch switch. Making the two wires connect completes the starting circuit for both types of cars.
Absolutely no need to cut both wires, Wire a switch in series with either wire using a SPST (single pole single throw) switch.

I came across this http://www.ravelco.com/ when I was looking into security for my car. If there claims are true it sounds like a good device. No car has ever been stolen that had this device installed....
