stock temp. gauge malfunction?!?

Default stock temp. gauge malfunction?!?

has anyone ever experienced their stock temp gauge malfunctioning? my gauge needle was basically hanging/reading down instead of pointing up and reading a temp. i tried restarting the car, but same result! what now? replace the cluster? anyone ever had any other problems similar to this? thx.

The oil temperature? That has happened to me before after a cold night if the oil just sits there its gonna be cold..... go for a drive give it some gas and it will works it way back to the center just gotta heat it back up at least I think thats what the problem was for me is it at startup?

sorry, i meant the water temp. gauge.
