Man all you guys complaining abou tnot having modded in a month or so, i haven't modded since February. I just have had other priorities. Getting married, going on a honeymoon, buying a house, surviving a hurricane, organizing my best friends bachelor party, Christmas, and i have 2 weddings to go to right after Christmas both out of state. You just have to prioritize, i have a spreadsheet with almost $10K of mods i would like to get for Vera, but i have to be patient and let them trickle in as funds will allow.

+1
The look of a stock S197 GT is just fine with me.
Give me the "Go", and the heck with the "Show".

I find the biggest deal with modding around here is availability of nice custom/performance shops. You really have to do your research, as we don't have the biggest selection. Everything has to be ordered, with very little examples of uniqueness in this region I live in.

I spent quite some time online doing my homework before ordering things for my car. Not finding anything like that around here.

Reading this entire thread had me laughing, raising my middle finger, giving two thumbs up, and two thumbs down!

In my opinion you get what you pay for - and I want to pay for added performance and appearance! It's as simple as that. I'm not one of those "crazy responsible" types, nor am I still attached to my mother's "teet's" as someone mentioned - my hobby is my Stang! I currently don't have a wife or a kid to purchase upgrades for - so I purchase them for my Mustang (I'm laughing inside right now)!!

You've got your fair share of haters on these forums, and your fair share of supporters as well. I don't think that will ever change! Read below to see what category you put me in:

For those of you putting your kids through college and paying off the ex-wives...good for you!

For those of you spending every penny left over from each McDonald's paycheck on your Mustang...good for you!

For those of you that work hard and play hard - welcome to my world! I didn't get to the ripe age of 29 (and be completely financially secure) by working my *** off to own my dream Mustang, 2 trucks, and a motorcycle without any mods! Come on man!

You only live once man, enjoy it any way you see fit! I see fit to mod my Mustang, because it makes me happy! ...and that's all I have to say about that!!!

Couldn't have put it better myself. I like the part about the stang as a hobby. I'm 23 and I don't have a house or girlfriend and I'm making a good deal of money, especially when compared to my college years (my parents helped out but I had a job and double majored - I guess that is the parents' teet that guy was talking about). I work hard and play hard. I don't spend all my money on my car but quite a bit goes into it. It's my money, and I'll do what I see fit with it. The car makes me happy, and how can you put a price on that?

I have no problem with the other side as well. For all those reasons that Norm mentioned as well as many more that are out there. It's your choice, and you made the best one of all...buying a mustang!

funny Jasper!!

the only time mine was stock was on the test drive. I made the dealership that I bought my car from put my first set of aftermarket wheels/tires (20" Cobra R's w/Nitto 555 255/35's all the way around) on it before I would sign the final paperwork...so my car left the dealership with it's first mod..

Yeah I just spent 1/2 my paycheck on stuff for my car..... It is strange to see a stock car but to each his own.

Performance or body mods are definitely a luxury. Nothing is cheap. Except maybe gas.I've slowed down on modding due to health issues. Its been difficult to afford anything lately.I'd hate to leave the Mrs. with a car she couldn't handle if my health fails. Things are looking up and I'm feeling better so maybe tax time I'll find something I can't live without.
Everyone lives a different lifestyle so if your a car-guy/gal you'll have your next mod in a couple of weeks.

I'll bet that there's a couple of folks here who don't think I'm into making modifications. Little do they know . . . grocery shopping for a family of four on a motorcycle, anyone?

I'll just mention that the only times I wasn't entirely happy with the end result of some mod came after I hadn't been patient enough in the decision and purchase aspects. We all make mistakes. Sometimes we learn from them.

The Mustang's turn is coming, but there's no hurry.
