the speedo unless you are speed fanatic.
I have 255/45-18 BFG g-Force KDWIIs on 18 x 8.5s.
I guess I could have gone 275/40-18s as the
BFG chart showed them for 8.5" min rim width
and kept the stock Revs/Mile about the same
as well. The 275/40s were locally unobtainable
in a reasonable time frame but the 255/45s were
just a day away.

235/50R18 STOCK
9.251" WIDE
27.251" TALL
85.641" ROUND
740 REVS / MILE

255/45R18
10.039" WIDE
27.035" TALL
84.934" ROUND
746 REVS / MILE

275/40R18
10.826" WIDE
26.661" TALL
83.759" ROUND
756 REVS / MILE

Yes, 275 all the way around for two reasons: rotation and understeer (a bigger tire in the rear would increase relative grip on that end and magnify what is already a understeering setup).

Norm has a good point, the NT01s and other super high performance tires do have very stiff sidewalls, thus my experience (275 on 9" rim = ) may not be the same as a lessor tire would give.
