will gt500 STB fit on v6?

the GT500 brace cleared my plenum cover with no problem, I needed the washers to shim the brace forward to clear the hood.

Use U shaped shims to figure it out... My guess is 1/8"?
How about an aftermarket hood to go with that?

I don't understand what you're trying to say? I shouldn't worry about it fitting, yet you state its more complicated to get a STB right than fixing a tune? I disagree, I think it will be simple, but it's -40 here right now and I don't feel like hanging out outside trying different washers to get it right..
