Default Driver Side Floor Mat "Holder" Issue....... PLEASE HELP!

Well this actually happened awhile ago but I never bothered to post about it anyway because I forgot and it didn't bug me to much... but anyway the little black thing on the driver's side carpet that is used to hold the floor mat in place is basically ripped out... it is only connected by like half of the object. I don't know how it got that way It came like that... and it almost caused me to crash my first week with the thing because the mat slid up and I didn't realize it and I punched the gas and it wouldn't come up when I let off.... was extremely scary... I managed to wedge my foot underneath the pedal and and release it so it came back up but if I hadn't of reacted so fast the outcome could have been much much worse..... anyway after that I took the mats out and used some skinny junky ones from Pep-boys... and there starting to seem ricey to me and I want to put my stock ones back.... but I can't if I can't get the clip to stay tight in the carpet.. anyone else have this issue and know a way to fix it? How much will it probably cost to fix? Any help would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure there is a TSB on that problem and if the car is still under warranty the dealer should fix it.

You have an extended warranty and you need to read what's covered...
Especially what's considered normal wear.
Just because there is a TSB does not mean the dealer will fix it for free.
